A series of paintings exploring the theme of 'Learning from the Masters', produced in partnership with LondonDrawingGroup and the BRAF, (Bridget Riley Art Foundation) British Museum. After Rubens takes as it's starting point Matisse's La Danse, and Peter Paul Rubens' monumental lost masterpiece, The Fall of The Damned.
This series aims to bridge the gap between contemporary painting practise and our collective history as image-makers and craftsmen, and also forms the starting point for a Solo Exhibition hosted at Lewisham Arthouse as part of Deptford X Festival, exploring the theme of found in translation, or how figurative art can react fluidly to other artists and ideas through time.
